Greetings,
I was wondering if anyone had the proper size for the check nuts that go on the Rod End Bearings on the control linkages for the Pulsar I.
Mine were missing when I acquired my kit.
They seem to be the same size that would fit on an AN-6 bolt.
I cannot figure out how to order the correct size. All I have seen on Air Craft Spruce is for An-3 size.
If I am looking up the nuts incorrectly please point me in the right direction.
I cannot close out my wings until I have the four that are required for each wing's control linkages.
Thanks in advance for the information as it is greatly appreciated.

Typically jam nuts on rod ends are 1/4-28 threads (bolt diameter 1/4"). I am sure there are no size AN6 rod ends on a Pulsar.

I can confirm when I get to the hanger as my Pulsar 1 manuals are there, but I'm quite sure Sonja is correct.

Thanks Y'all.
The reason I mentioned AN-4 size and threads is because I took a AN-4 lock nut to see if it would fit the threaded rod in portion just to try to get an idea of the correct size. Low and behold it fit and that why I mentioned that.
Thanks for trying to help me.
These check nuts are preventing me from closing out my wing skins.
I am steadily but surely making good progress on my build process. I have finished my canopy and it is a really tight fit in the space above my head and I am 72 inches / 6 feet tall.
That is the only thing that really has me worried. My Horizontal stabilizers and elevators are complete. My flaps and ailerons are completed and installed.
I feel the flaps need an extra rib which I plan on trying to add. I just need to order some aluminum sheet from A/C Spruce.
Oh, one more thing that has me concerned is the nose gear fork which looks really weak and not of good craftsmanship and of course the nose gear leg. I plan on getting it Magna Flux tested for integrity so we will see how that tuns out.
I do pray everyone is in good health and high spirits during this "pandemic" and as always safe skies to all.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Clyde Oyler aka Yellowhammer

Clyde,
Extra rib in flaps near the control rod, do it.
If you have the original nose gear you definitely need to talk to Greg Smith! Many folks have experienced the misery of a failed nose gear.

Sonja,
Once again you have been so very helpful! I truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me and helping me.
I measured the the rod ends and they were exactly as you said they would be.
Many thanks!

Sonja,
I was cruising through your website earlier today and wanted to know if you still have some items for sale. I am particularly interested in the air vents, Shielded Tefzel Wiring, and the Newton Fuel Caps.
If these items are still available I am interested.
I wanted to tell you my wife purchased your Home built Hints book for me for Fathers day and I have enjoyed it and found it very helpful so thank you.
I am also interested in purchasing your Pulsar Build manuals that you have added helpful hints to as well.
Let me know if you still have them and thanks for your help.
