Artificial horizon, starts good, works good in normal flight first couple rolls still good, then if I do a sequence like aileron roll right, then roll left, loop, barrel roll, then I go to level flight, the AI stays tilted for the next 10 or 15 minutes.
Any ideas?

I had a similar issue in my CJ. Put a new one ... problem went away.

something in that box went TU. could be electrolytic "vertical" sensor, correction mechanism switch or driving motor - to name a few.
or you naughty boy exceeded 120d/s max roll rate
