Hello,
The left wing of my plane was hit by another in the hangar ... has anyone ever had to do this kind of repair ?
Does it have to be cut out and replaced or just filled in with putty?
I wish all pilots a happy new year.!

It’s an XS Tri gear based in France. White spots are just rain. I don’t know if there is foam in the wing but probably. It’s located in front of the wing

I think (I know) there is a published repair procedure from Europa for wing damage as we had an issue with delamination on our classic wings (yours won’t have foam in them). I can possibly find this for you if you need - as I recall, you need some skill / experience with fibreglass (we got a glider repair specialist to do ours) - time consuming but not expensive

The attached was published in 2009 and I would expect the repair principles still to be valid, although you may need to use Ampreg 21 or another approved replacement Ampreg 20, which is no longer available.
Regards, Mike

The repair detailed is still valid although it does not include instructions on the method to determine the extent of the damage. If the indentation depth from nominal can be measured we may be able to determine if the back side of the moulding has burst.
Most damage in these cases is hidden as the outer ply is not visibly broken.
I would try to get a boroscope in the D box area, possibly via a hole in the wing tip.
Having taken observations and screen dumps as evidence l would base the repair on the std repair doc Mike has kindly supplied.
If aircraft is LAA their agreement will be required BEFORE making the repair.
