what is the maximum weight you can put in the cockpit of a FireStar 2? ..... too fat Tim

It all depends on how much your plane weighs ready for flight. Empty weight, and the difference of 750 pounds. I believe the gross weight for the Firestar is 750.
It will still fly at that weight, but performs like a cub. That assumes that you will fit in the seat.

Your biggest issue with the Firestar 2 and a heavy pilot is going to be a far forward CG.We have the same problem. I have a FIrestar 2 and I weigh 250 and am 6'4". How big are you?
