As people probably know, we test all our engines that we overhaul on a sophisticated dynamometer at Aerometal in Hungary. However we would like to update the current engine monitoring system, since we would like to have a constant readout and recording ability for all engine parameters such as CHT; EGT; oil temperature in and out; fuel flow; oil pressure; rpm et cetera.

I would welcome anyone's advice as to the best system to install – thank you

Richard

i betcha you'd get a dozen replies pointing to JPI...

i know a guy - 10-something years ago he wrote a complete EFIS and engine monitor for his sukhoi. there was nothing on the market. the only EFIS was 10" BMA EFIS One. he had nothing on his panel, just a 12" superbright display with all the data you can think of. his code and display plus commercial electronics mounted on the engine.

i'd say: since he wrote it - it's infinitely customizable, can run on a big screen , display anything you'd like and log it or instantly send it elsewhere. probably for a fraction of JPI

I would be interested to know if this is a possiblity - I have an interesting application that would not be served by anything commercially available
