The last fly-in I planned to attend this year was the Thomasville GA. I had promised my son we would fly together to this fly-in. But Murphy was ready to attack: our taxiway was scheduled to be resurfaced a few weeks back but hurricane Ian happened and the date was moved to this week. Getting the airplane out of the hangar would be impossible without a taxiway so what should I do?
Well, good thing I own a Europa!! I took the wings off and put the airplane in my garage. That way I could move the airplane from the garage to the ramp today, put it together and it would only spend one night on the tie down and we would fly to Thomasville tomorrow. Excellent plan.
It was actually kind of fun to get the wings off and put it in the garage. It even looks cute in there and I am getting some smiles from the neighbors when they see it.
Sadly, Murphy still won. I tested positive for covid on Wednesday so trip cancelled. Oh well. But little 11EU didn't disappoint. It was ready to go. Maybe next year.

The fuselage isn’t on a trailer so what’s supporting it?

A training wheel dolly is mounted on the main landing gear swing arm. Here is an old picture.
Works well but a bit of a pain to install. When I start the painting process, which is going to start soon, I want to build a dolly as others have done to allow much quicker transition to a wingless state.
