Not sure if this is relevant to this forum but...
After going thru major fixes on my Tailwind I had a couple of test flights to check things out.
I took a look at Flightaware.com to see the flights and they came up but the airspeeds were very erratic. Positioning/tracking looked great, just airspeed was crazy.
I decided to pull an ADS-B report from the FAA to see what that stated. They came back with no report found on either flight. They suggested I send in the GPS/Transponder for repair.
Any thoughts on what would cause the FAA to throw out a flight, ie: not create a report. I don't have the detail on what info is broadcast on ADS-B so maybe someone might know of a document that explains the process.

Do you have a GPS-derived ground speed readout on the panel? Is it erratic in flight? If so, then it's probably a GPS problem and the transponder is just sending out the bad data that it's receiving.
If that's not it, then you might try a couple of things. First, make another flight, being sure to climb to at least a few thousand feet, fly a few straight legs of several minutes each, and talk to ATC to confirm that they can see you and are receiving all of the ADS-B data that they normally expect. If ATC reports a problem, or you still can't get an ADS-B report from the FAA, then go to the nearest avionics repair station and get the transponder tested.
Only if those two things show problems would I remove the transponder and send it for an expensive repair.

It’s been a while, but I remember that the key for my ADS-B report was using flight following. Getting ATC involved. Did you make sure your reg number was set (instead of anon) ?
Which ADS-B unit do you have?

Thanks for the replies. The unit was working fine but then I relocated the transponder and made an extension cable to fit. I suspect this might be the culprit. Just strange that Flightaware (uses ADS-B data) sees me but the FAA does not. I will have to go back thru my flight data to verify ground speed but suspect data from GPS to transponder.
I have an ADS-B test set so I will check output. My transponder is a Trig TT22 and the GPS is a Safe-Fly 2020 from GRT.
