For Airventure 2024, I flew "Blanquita" from St. Augustine to Oshkosh. I was asked to display her at the Aertomomentum / Aerotranscendent booth, next to the tower, to show off the KIS4 aircraft.

Aerotranscendent and Aeromomentum have partnered up to put the KIS4 kit back into production. The airplane will have some of the upgrades we, the KIS4 community, have recommended and will be called the AXI4 due to legal issues. Otherwise it is the exact same airplane. Mark Kettering (Aeromomentum) has more details about the project.
While there 4 KIS owners/builders I did not know about visited the booth and we got to chat quite a bit. I really hope this project "takes off". Wink

Wonderful, Galen!  My little bird is getting painted so I’ll share pictures when I get her back. (Getting rid of the rather obnoxious eagle head and any last traces of the previous jackass “builder”… )
If you talk to Mark, one recommendation I have for the design is to add about 3° of negative incidence  on the horizontal stab. As it is now with 0° incidence, I had to add springs to the elevator in order to have enough trim authority with flaps down.
Also, the builders manual needs a complete revamp, of course.
Hope you had fun!

And the weather SUCKED both ways. Going there I had to divert from Athens, GA around Atlanta to LaGrange, GA then to Rome, GA before I could make it to Lafayette, TN. Departing Oshkosh I had to divert because of weather to the West of Chicago then back through the weather to the East before I could continue on to Lafayette, TN. Then from LAfayette, TN to St. Augustins, weather made me divert to the west of Atlanta, then back East to Waycross, GA before continuing on to St. Augustine. Good thing I am IFR current and "Blanquita" is well equipped for these types of situations.

It was a total of 16.4 hrs of flying, almost all of it in IFR conditions.

I have no idea about the Brazilian venture. But one of the visitors to the booth is from Brazil and is almost finished with his KIS4 kit. He hopes to have it flying late this year or early next year.
