Yep I've got pretty much the same result, marineware have a few packs in
stock, Barry at Dauntless only has slow or fast not standard.
It seems that is only Europa that still use this "old" composite system,
(most chandlers incorrectly reckon its been discontinued!) and it's only
produced in very limited quantities as one off orders by SP systems...
Why does it need to be ampreg 20, not the more widely available ampreg 22 or
106??
Cheers
Paul.

Paul,
I'm open to correction, but I seem to remember that it's simply that
Ampreg20 is the originally approved resin system. I also vaguely remember
being told that it would be possible to get PFA Engineering approval to use
other systems like Ampreg22, but no-one has made such a submission to them.
(Please, this is not a cue for more complaints about PFA Engineering!)

Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy,
I have found a caution from Neville on a previous conversation regarding
some of the properties of ampreg 22 not being as good as ampreg 20.
Quote: | Hi All,
Before you all go off and buy Ampreg 22, please note that Ampreg 22 has not
been
qualified by Europa as an alternative to Ampreg 20. The physical properties
fall short of the Ampreg 20 system. Anyone building in the UK would have to
deal
with the P.F.A. if they wish to substitute the 20 for ANY other resin.
Cheers,
Nev.

Not sure what the specific properties are, or whether this was just the
factory line.
Obviously if I was to change resin system it must clearly be for a system
with same or better properties than the original...
Cheers Paul.
