Hello0 Guys,
Would like to know how0 many washers you Mk111 & Mk111xtra guy's have under the engine. The print0 calls for 3 in front and 2 in the back on top of the mounts. That is the way I0 have mine.
I would like to know if0 some of you have changed them any like lowering the front of the engine some. I0 had rather hear from some of you that has done this before I start0 experimenting. It looks like you would get a better cruse if the engine was0 lowered in the front a little.

Got a question - ref your statement "It looks like you would get a better cruse if the engine was lowered in the front a little."
Why do you think that? Not disagreeing, just asking. You must have something specific in mind -

Brother0 Pike ..
I have0 been doing some trim changes on my Mk111. I installed one of the brackets that0 Steve Green designed on the left wing which took care of the slight turn to the0 left. It flies straight and level now without a trim tab on the aileron. I took0 Mr. Haucks advise and changed the pitch on my prop, and like he said [ what a0 difference ] it made. It flew better today than it ever has. I am still0 using a trim tab on the rudder which will stay there.
It looks0 to me like the center- line of the engine should be close to the same as the0 bottom of the wing. I will get the prints out tomorrow and do a little checking.0 I hope I am making my self clear here so don't get down on me to0 hard....
Any way0 I am getting ready to go and do a little picken-an-grinning tonight. Maybe by0 the time I get back you guys will have some good advice for me.Richard as long0 as you have flying Kolbs you probably already know.

I think that what you will find is that with the high thrust line, it will be necessary to have the thrust angle at a different angle than perpendicular to the bottom of the wing, otherwise you will have to hold a lot of back pressure. Think of the thrust line as a vector line going through the center of drag - wing, plus fuselage, plus gear, plus everything else - there is more to it than that, but I am not technically sharp enough to explain it any better.
My own experience is that you will want the prop perpendicular to the horizon with the wing in level flight at an angle of attack somewhere between 5 and 9 degrees. (your results may vary...)
