With clear blue skies and a 5 knot breeze test pilot Pip Boorman conducted the first flight of my RV10 at Bendigo Australia . Last checks on the plane found a broken Alternator belt as the alternator pulley had come adrift, and slight fouling of the governor cable on the top cowl. After a high speed taxi run the plane departed in a very short distance for a uneventful flight problems noted were that the trim could be faster (matronics governor to have its speed increased) and a little bit left wing heavy. Pips comments on the ground were that the design was a credit and to plan at 185 knots.

Congratulations! 2 first flights in as many days, the numbers are going exponential. I hope you get to fly yourself very soon and reward yourself for all the hard work.
One note I meant to pass on about my machine, I don’t have the governor on the pitch trim and wouldn’t want it to move any slower. It seems just about right so I’m not going to bother with the governor others have discussed.
