Hi:

Engine is running rough, I have the 0320E2D 150H>P> Lyc.
on my RV6a..

1. I took all plugs, check for gap, cleaned and re-install..

2. I Check the Magnetos,, for proper timing...A friend did it, had
the tool for it..

I will be ready to test eng..

Is there any thing else to be done??
How I know my Mixture/Air is correct....I never touched that part..

Angine has only the first 30 hrs. out of 40...
Appreciate suggestions..
Bert

For idle mixture, slowly pull the mixture out from full rich to idle

cutoff. You should see a small rise in RPM just prior to cutoff. If
not, it may be too lean already so unscrew the idle mixture screw 1/2
turn and try again. And agin until you get the RPM rise.

For high speed (over 1000 RPM) the idle mixture is not a player, but you
can still do the leaning thing at full throttle .... tie the tail to
something that won't move (unless you have really good brakes), lean to
cutoff and see what happens. You should get the same RPM rise that you
get in flight as you lean, then it will run rough as some cylinders get
too lean ..... and finally cutoff.

Bert,

Clean air filter, check the mixture screws/bolts to see they have not changed, along with the other stuff you're doing should clear it up. If not, write again and we'll all diagnois more from there.

I would check the intake tubes for leaks all the way
to the sump. Also make sure there's not an issue with
the carb heat cable.

==============================

WOW! This a a total open ended question....
What is the history of the engine?
Is it as new as the 30 hours?
Have you tried different fuel?
Are yo sure of the octane of the fuel?
Is there or has there been WATER in the fuel?
How long has the engine sat?
Is there in line filters coming from each tank BEFORE it gets to the Boos
Pump (found this to be a problem in a friends plane - It needed better filtering
than that LOUSY gascolator and Carb Filter)?
How are the wires?
How good is your friend or you with the timing box? Having one is not enough.
So many questions so little time.

Does this give you some ideas on how to begin your diagnostics?
A two item check is only the beginning.
