Damned it man, youre a man. What are you doing with macram. Now if you

were to say "the little woman" did that for you, we could all save face. But

a man macreme'ing! Well that would surely cause John Wayne to roll over in

his grave. Well I can tell you this much; you wouldn't find John H. (Col

Retired) talking about no Macram'. Now there's a real man for ya! HA, HA!



But I have to agree, something need to be done about them dangling shoulder

harness straps.



P.S. Mike, could you make me a set on the Q.T. for my Firstar?

Hey Pat! Don't you pick on my flyin brother Plainecrazzy. He said he'd make

me a set if I flew out there and whopped your old hide ! HA. HA! 



Anyway, since we need to keep the subject matter about Kolbs to please the

site master and purpose of our gathering place. If he makes me a set, I'll

fly my 1990 Kolb Firestar KXP with 503 DIDC out to whoop your old hide,

after I complete my lessons. How old are you now Pat, It might be a while.

P.S. Pat, for your information; "pearl one, stitch one, drop one" is not

macram! Thats knitting. And unless you want to meet me in a dark ally, all

230# and 6'1" of me, you do not want to pick on the knitters in America!

 Macreme.......Is " Knot " tying , Which I pride myself in knowing alot of different HANDY knots.....Truckers Knot, Turkey Foot, half hitch, Square,

 and a bunch more that I don't know there name...



  Sailors know knots.....Is it for knitting ???

  That was funny tho...



 These had to be tied "in place" because the way I did it was....I threaded the wire thru the belt on "TOP" , (I made a hole with a fat pin)....That way the "Loom" Can't slip down.....



 And if you want a good job....do it yerself, don't ask the "little woman"

 Well, you can ask her "how the hell do ya do that"...

Hi Guys,

             One other thing.....Each of the shoulder straps took about 15 min to tie the loom..... it used 14 ft of elec wire( each loom ), and it made aprox a 12" long loom...



 It is VERY SIMPLE to do.....It's a simple knot that is repeated over and over....

your stuff. But, I gotta tell ya: You do remind me a little bit like that

"Monk" character on TV. I'll bet you could eat off your garage floor. Course

I'd been know to eat off of anyone's floor, and way past the 5 second rule!

HA, HA!  So does this mean were friends and you marcema me a shoulder

    The knots are so tight....When I started the first one....I broke the wire.

 So if it was made and you tried to "slip it on yours"....I don't think it could be done.....and if it was made "Bigger" it would look sloppy....



    It's too late today, but I can take a few pictures, and show you the knot

 it's an extremely  simple knot.......ya know how you cross your shoe laces before you make the bow........THAT'S THE KNOT....It's just reversed each time and it incorperates what your tying it to....



  Then "YOU" can knitt.....I mean Macreme too !

better fit the big tanks. Refuel Labrador, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland, 

South of England. By the time you get here, with luck and a following wind I 

will have my Xtra in the air. I could fit a Lewis MG over the engine or a 

couple of Vickers just below the doors. Meet you at 3000 ft over Bath at 

dawn.

My old hide is 76 years old now and I may not be as good in  a roughhouse as 

I was 50 years ago but we could swap spelling at 50 paces. Macram??  You 

colonial you!  Macrame ( with one of those cute French accent things over 

the `e`). What have you done to my language?



Re knitting.  Reminds me of a joke on a lavatory wall on which was written 

`My mother made me a homosexual`.  Underneath in a different handwriting 

someone had added `If I give her the wool, will she make me one?`

were too tight". The col. I was referring to is none other than John Hauck.

Now your being in your mid seventies does give you more wisdom than me in my

early sixties, so I better back off now! Aah! Do you guys do the 

"no-dudt-abuut-it" or is that just the Canadians. I'll tell ya: you and

Possum would make a great team of story tellers writing for John Houck's

pictures and memoirs. I'd even buy a copy. Too much brother, too much! 



And "get back on topic"! Man, I was saving this site from a blood bath. A

tad of humor was most assuredly what was needed here; I don't want to loose

anyone that posts here.

Hi,

I think you mean me. If so I would jump at the chance if it would mean 

hunkering down with John for a long period while the narrative was sorted 

out. What stories one could garner during a period like that. What pearls of 

wisdom. Probably make a book on its own.

Might be worth emigrating for.
