Does anyone have any advice on how to tighten the castle nuts on the intake tubes (the ones that go into the block)?

Scooter,
There is a special intake gland nut wrench that enables you to tighten the
"castellated nuts" as you call them. The block as you called it is actually
the supercharger case. You may be able to find one by contacting Carl/Jill
Hays or Doug Sapp. The tool also comes in the Russian tool kit.

The last I heard, George Coy also has YAK tool kits. They are not cheap
though.

Thanks again. Another dumb question: is it possible that there would be oil leaking where these gland nuts attach to the supercharger case?

Yes, most definitely. If they are loose enough it leans out the engine.
