Yah, isn't it too bad it's come down to this. Wasn't it Shakespeare who
said, "Much ado about nothing ??" Seems like we go thru this subject every
year or so, with people - many people - like myself, getting a great deal
of enjoyment out of the interchange on the List. Not just the strictly Kolb
related tech talk, but the exchange between people with a common interest.
Then, there are those who demand a strict interpretation of Matt's rules
regarding List usage. What bothers you so badly about people enjoying
themselves ?? The comment about using the "delete" key has been put forth,
and sneered at, and the why escapes me. How big of a deal is it to see
something you're not interested in and clicking on delete ?? I know I do it
many times a day getting rid of spam, that I REALLY hate. I also do it
frequently when I see troubleshooting tips for 2 stroke engines that I have
no interest in, but I certainly don't snipe at those who enjoy and
appreciate those topics. From what I've seen, I would say that Matt seems
like a very reasonable person who is most likely more than pleased to see
the enjoyment and entertainment so many get from the use of his product.
That's not to say we should get crazy about it - moderation is best in most
things, including this. I agree, too, that name calling is not a solution.
Why not relax, and understand that there are people with different interests
using a common product ?? Lar.
