Bill,

Please don't take the remarks so hard.  We need you and your airplane in 

this forum.  We like the things you bring

to the table.  It makes life interesting and worth while.  This is a 

help center for aircraft and the people that build them.

I can't begin to satisfy all the views on other subjects in the 

Zenith-List because we have enough trouble with the problems

of building.  I apologize for sounding so terse, but this forum is the 

only place my mind finds the solace between friends and

projects.  Do stay with the group and finish the plane with us.

I second that motion. Bring your building experiences to the forum and leave 

the political baggage off-list. We all slip in some snappy asides that 

expose our personal views to the list on occassion. On the other hand, using 

the list to post purely political diatribes is not a good idea. Trust me on 

this... I have enough opinions to piss off the entire membership.

Please say it isn’t so…and pardon my delay in responding. I have been on vacation for a week and without internet or cell phone (and survived!).  

   

Any of us in the United States who have strong political feelings understand the urge to speak up. I, for one, feel the need more often, the older I get, especially when I feel the country is heading for disaster. Maybe “disaster” is an overstatement, but, as we get closer to election time, the political messages get more and more shrill. I doubt if any of us are not just exhausted with the constant bombardment of political advertisements. I understand your desire to speak out.  

   

There are several more prominent scratch builders on this list, but you are The One who took the time to convince me to follow your lead. You not only saved me thousands of $$$, but helped make the whole process more satisfying.  

   

I have confessed this to the List before now, and for those of you who remember and think this corny to re-hash – I apologize, but where would I be if you had not taken the time for me? I wouldn’t be half way thru my center section – I would still be saving money to purchase the kit.  

   

When you take the time to communicate with a large group of people, you never know when or where you will strike the match of inspiration. Please stay with us.
