I have a friend who is up to his ears in an RV-8A project and he needs to try to find his way out or get it finished (if he can afford to). The few questions I have that some of you all might know is possible market values (new but not from the factory) on some components. If anybody wants to reply off the list with a value next to some item in the list below, that would be very helpful.

Blue Mountain EFIS-One (2002 version)
Blue Mountain EFIS-Lite (2002 version)
Blue Mountain Auto Pilot (I don’t know if this is an integrated unit or not because I don’t know their stuff)

Mazda 13b rotary engine (Powersport Aviation) with all of the accessories (installed already)
MT 3-blade prop

Would it be practical to try to get rid of the rotary (selling it to some other sucker, maybe) and put on a proven engine or should he push through the last little bit to get it running and finished?

Is the older Blue Mountain stuff junk or is it worth keeping?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

His choice of equipment certainly limits his buyers. He would be better finishing it and selling as a flying aircraft.

If he needs reputable help have him call 406-538-6574
