Here is the deal on Lycoming 0-235 exhaust systems. Zenair and AMD sell a 4 into 1 crossover exhaust system with shrouds for the AMD Alarus CH2000. Same aircraft different names, and a certified aircraft. Comes complete with shrouds for carb heat and cabin heat. This is a complete bolt on system for the 0-235 including the short stacks to the cylinders. A fairly simple system. The hardest point was getting the hole for exhaust stack right on my CH2000. This system replaces single side systems that the CH2000 came with. I still have one good one and one repairable one (if you a welder!!!!) . The Lycoming 0-235 is used in Cessna 152s, Tomahawks, and Skippers if you are looking for used aircraft exhaust systems. The Cessna 150 uses a Continental 0-200 and I can't say a 150 exhaust system will work on Lycoming...
If you don't know what you are doing, call AMD and ask if there CH2000/Alarus system will fit on a 601. If it does buy it. I do not regret my new system, although I liked the old system's simplicity better. Leaking exhaust systems can kill you. I live in an area where cabin heat and defrost are essential. My life or my family members lives are not worth fooling around with, carbon monoxide sucks...

[quote]Will a C-150 exhaust system fit properly onto a 601 with a Lycoming 235? Does anyone have any recommendations about where to buy an exhaust system that will fit? Swapping Subaru for 0 235.
