David, Have you considered a composite tank built to fit exactly where you want?

What's the max size you can handle (LxWxH) - a Challenger 10 gal tank might work?

For what it's worth. I put a Titan Tornado 10 gal tank in my Firstar. I had to cut one of the diagonal braces just behind the seat to get it in. I then sleeved the tube and put it back in it's original place. The tank sits on the boom tube just behind the seat. Seems like I gave about $60 for it. Also plumbed to draw fuel from the top. I don't believe in poking holes in the bottom of fuel tanks. It is not a question of if it will leak, but when.
