Well, over here a Newt is a small lizard-like aquatic animal and I think a
protected species.
So, I hope the inference isn't that TCFG Fly-In attendees are regarded as pond
life
Best Regards,
Barry
P.S. I think it's really a typo for "next" )

Given that our Fearless Leader - Capt. JimBob - is the Patron Saint of Iguanas, I think Moe knows exactly what the next TCFG Fly-In is all about.

Hey Moe,
This sounds like the guy who advertised
"Complete Encyclopedia for sale.
No longer needed.
Wife now knows everything."

Hi Bilbo,
Well, I think that's from Shakespeare's Three Witches in Macbeth:
First Witch:
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Second Witch:
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and howlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Oh heck, OK, I cheated and did a Google search. Never read much Shakespeare. Not
aware he wrote many aviation books.
We also use "Newt" as slang when somebody has too much to drink and say "He was
as p*ssed as a Newt".
Very Best Regards,
Barry

Be careful Sir Barry,
Gathering TCFG members together for a 'Flyin' has sometimes been referred to
(more than once over the years) with the same difficulty associated with 'herding
frogs'...surely these are found alive in ponds...
Can't remember who uses the term though!!
Just a thought from Downunder!
