List,
Can anybody point me to a photo of EGT probes on the 701 using R912 & ZAC-supplied exhaust system?
I'm down to either welding on the metric-threaded bushings or just drilling a quarter-inch hole and using the hose-clamp-type. Westach, among others, has the hose-clamp type and it sure looks easier than my previous mess of welding onto stainless steel on a previous installation.
Already have the indicator and two screw-in probes but somewhere along the way I have misplaced the 4-piece threaded locknut assembly for one of the probes. If I use these I must get another locknut assy, or go for the clamp type. Leaning really hard towards hose clamps!
I'm in the office, nowhere near the manuals, but the ZAC-supplied exhaust pipes have some rather sharp bends just downstream from the heads. Rotax manuals specify a distance from the heads, or the face of the exhaust ports. Does the Rotax measurement end up in the bend? Before the bend? After?
Any help appreciated.
65 degrees F, clear, no wind, and no flyable airplane!
Thanks,
Zed/701/R912/90+%/etc
