Eric:

I am still in the wing section and bought the same fittings for the vent
line. Placed them in the left tank and ran the tube 1/2 way down thru
the baffles. That way the return fuel will cool and dump into the
middle of the tank. I'd be glad to send a pic of where I put the exit
if you want one.

Does any body have any information on roll trim? Necessary? Got
asked that question and have not run across any information yet. I know
a lot of the RV 's have heavy wings and require a trim tab on one of the
ailerons. How is that different? When and where should that be
installed?

With 30 gallon tanks that are pretty long, the -10 sometimes requires
a bit of Aileron trim, and it varies depending on your passengers and
fuel. I've found it much more necessary than on the Sundowner I flew,
because those tanks didn't go out from center as far. Shorter and
longer across the cord. It's a worthwhile option on the -10 though.
Easy to install. just mounts on one wing access plate and moves the
aileron pushrod with a bias spring and servo arrangement.

Roll trim is a must.

Why doesn't fuel management to maintain similar levels in the left and right tank work?

I'm not saying that wouldn't help, but whereas some people switch
tanks back and forth a lot, some don't, and I do notice the -10
seems to get a heavy wing pretty easily based on loading
and fuel. So the easiest is just to compensate for both passengers
and fuel. But, you do have a point that proper fuel management
helps to reduce the reliance. I still recommend it though.
