The Vans manifold kit has a 1/16" ID barb on the bulkhead fitting. My AFS 3400 pressure sensor has a 1/4" barb and my Plasma II ignition has a 1/8" barb. Can anyone suggest how to plumb these and what connectors/tees/adapters to use. I have searched everywhere to find a solution. Help!

John,

I would (will) get one of Van's 1/8 NPT manifolds to mount under the panel. Alternatively you could use an AN917-1D (Spruce) if you only need two branches. Then plumb the 1/16" tube to it, and branch it off to anything else that needs MP. McMaster-Carr has a huge selection of fittings with 1/8 NPT to barbs. Use Kynar, or brass if plastic makes you nervous. I've used plastic for MP aft of the firewall many times.

Call me if I can help further.

John,
Order the 1/4 barb from ACS that replaces Vans in the firewall. You can also get an adapter from any auto store.........they use them for the vacuum lines in cars. Heater lines or winshield washer lines.

My favorite place for ANY plumbing fittings is ACE HARDWARE. They carry all the standard stuff, and unlike my big-box hardware stores .. they also carry the strange adapter-type fittings.

I’ve just used the hose that comes with Van’s kit as a short piece inside a larger diameter hose (like pitot line) and that inside the final size if you need bigger to connect to the MAP Sensor. Glue or zip ties to hold them together. Just make sure you don’t get a kink in the little line that comes from Van’s. As I understand it, it’s suction, not pressure, and very little at that. What to do forward of the firewall I can’t help with, because I doubt you want pitot line up there where it’s hot. I would have to bow to the more knowledgeable on that.

Unless you have a turbo, or the engine isn't running, it is always
suction. It is marked as inches of mercury, just like a barometer, so
25" is 4" of suction. Idling at 12" you have about 18" of suction.
That is why it should read pretty close to altimeter setting when the
engine is stopped.
