I have given over 130 different people rides in the plane. NO ONE had a bad thing to say about it. It put a smile on my face every time I put air under the wheels.

John,

I can't believe this is a serious question. This is the coolest aircraft ever made. Period. I fly a whole lotta other machines, all fun in their own way, but this one is special, and the indisputed queen of them all. She flies comfortably and safely off a 900 ft paddock with a cliff at each end, travels half the length of New Zealand in a short flight, turns 6 hour drives in 30 minute flights, does it all right way up or upside down, aerobats beautifully, shrugs off the heaviest loads, and has the power and performance to safely get me through some pretty hard core NZ mountain flying, often in bad weather. And ooooooohhhhhh that climb rate.

You got this one right. If they had royal honours in the US I'd be proposing you for a knighthood!

After seeing a few Rockets in action, and talking to a few Rocket owners, I started mine before ever riding in one, or in any RV for that matter. After rides with Gary Banducci and Ted Rutherford, I KNEW I'd made the right choice! I'm back at it after a 6-1/2 year building hiatus, hope to drill tank skins today. I'm looking forward to cutting the time it takes my 170 to go cross country in half!

I am flying an F-1 Rocket. It has a Harmon tilt over canopy so maybe I can be included as a first cousin. I have flown 280 hrs. in 2 years. I made some control changes and it has the same control harmony as the RVs. I had 2000 hrs. in RV-4s and loved them. The Rocket is one fine flying machine. I have taken experienced pilots rides and I have heard more than once that you couldn't describe the ride -- you had to experience it to believe it. I never dreamed that I would love this plane so much. Another surprise is I fly with the RVs on the same fuel burn or sometimes less. Thanks to all the people who have made this possible. I was looking for something to fly and heard from a friend that someone at the airport had a 1/2 share in his RV-4 for sale. I didn't know
what an RV was (military pilot, what did I know?). Didn't even know it was a tail dragger (I had almost no tail dragger time). So I went out
to the airport and took a ride in the back seat. Landed, got out, and bought 1/2 interest. Next year I flew to Sun n' Fun for the first time
(in my RV!). Landed, signed in and took a walk around the "RV Park", ooohing and aaahhhing at all the beautiful RV's. Wow, that's a
beautiful 8, there's a spiffy new 6, that must be a 7. Whoa! That's one of the most beautiful airplanes I ever saw. What the hell is it?
So I asked someone. His name was Mark.

Now I have 835.7 hours in mine (no, not in the aircraft log, in my builder's log) and counting. When I get this thing in the air, everyone
near Ridgeland, SC probably ought to land. For a few days, anyway! My wife says I'm impulsive, but what does she know?

Regards,

Lee...
