Wade- Her is my 2cents worth regarding your questions:
1. Yes
2. The longest piece you will encounter is a 12 foot wing spar (2).
3. No tasx at the factory, but depending on Texas laws, you will probably be
hit up with a sales tax as you try to register the plane in Texas. Check it
out.
4. I would guess 700 hrs. I tool 1000 for the whole thing.
5. Very good!!
6. Love the plane, in fact I love it so much that I am building it again.
(Really, I had a little problem with a landing last year.)
With your past ewxperience and expertice, you should have no problem
finishing the firewall back in 700 hrs max.
Go for it-
Regards,
Al Young

#3. I just got dinged with sales tax after flying my "other" a/c for 2
years. Consumer use tax is what they call it, each state may be different.
A local flyer told me that his brother is in a/c sales and we should NOT
have to pay a sales tax on a/c. Something about not being an item that is
bought and sold on a regular basis?? Anyway, this kitfox owner got out of
paying his sales tax after writing letters to the state officials and
explaining this. FWIW. PLease anyone else in a/c sales chime in here.. as I
am curious if this is true.
