I need to hook up the trim wiring on my -6 and am looking for relay/controller options. I’ve got trim switches (ail & elev) on both sticks. I picked up a Ariel mixer box some time ago that will isolate the dual trim. I just discovered it’s too big to mount between the seat ribs where I’d like to mount it. It also doesn’t address speed control. I’ve got a couple Matronics speed control modules and could wire them with the mixer but it gets to be a bit of a rats nest of wiring. So I’m looking for other options. I know about TCW Safety-Trim but it looks like it’s only set up for one stick. What else is out there? Thanks.

I have used a matronics module for my elevator trim using two switches and it has worked very well for sixteen years. I have never used the speed control function. I find the trim is too slow at approach speeds and too fast at cruise. Just takes a little getting used to.

It seems to me you could scrap the other box and use the two matronics boxes in your system. You can use as many trim switches as you want with the matronics, without relay decks. There is no need for a mixer, whoever trims first wins. Those little boxes can go anywhere. Mine is glued on the airplane side near the pilot's left leg.
BEWARE if you do this. Note that the wiring of the stick switches is dramatically different for matronics than for using relays. Just follow Matronics directions. You know how I learned this.
Disclaimer. I know nothing about the mixer you describe, or the TCW unit. I do feel it is important to have a really quick way to disable the trim system. I have a pullable circuit breaker for this. One for each side would might be better.

Our TCW trim controller works with two sticks, no extra wiring/relays required. All switches just wire in parallel.

Best approach – use the Safety Trim unit and add a switch on the panel to toggle the common wire to the stick top hat between Pilot and Copilot. This establishes:
<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>Installed backup if the pilot switch jams/sticks. The panel switch then isolates the failed pilot stick top hat and you continue as normal using the co-pilot stick top hat.
<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>Allows for you to not have a non-pilot in the co-pilot seat mess with the trim.

Use a DPDT switch and put the flap common wire on the other terminal to get the same benefits. In other words the one switch transfers both flap and trim control between the pilot and co-pilot.

Thanks. I forgot that the Governor had that relay function. It’s been a long time since I looked at it and I was just thinking of the speed control. I should RTFM.

OK, so it’s wired like the Matronics Governor. I did RTFM for TCM and didn’t see any reference to multiple switches. So I guess it’s now an extra features/extra $$ choice. Any other vendors out there?
