Pretty exciting stuff.

Think of the area, internal and external, of a composite airframe, including spars, ribs, bulkheads...a flying battery.

Oh, yeah, I'm excited all right. You get an Albert Einstein looking guy to make a video about a technology that is so far fetched most people aren't going to believe it. But some do The proof in the pudding is to put you money where your mouth is. If you really think this stuff is pretty exciting, contact Per-Ivar Sellengren and tell him you're so excited you want to know where to send R&D money!

I see no great leap forward in this ..all it is .. packing cells in various
spaces .. you still need all the wires to hook them all up .. thermal
protection - balancing etc etc ...

John,

Thanks for sharing. This may be the breakthrough that electric car/airplane development has been waiting for. I wonder how much flexing it will to tolerate and what it's energy density is. Lots of questions, but no question, lots of potential.

Sorry but what aim I missing ? Looks to me as if all that he is doing is to encapsulate a Li-polymer cell in carbon fiber matting ..

My understanding from the video is that it's a super capacitor, not a battery. I don't know enough to comment any further.
