Ed,
I have'nt been on the list in a while! I have been trying to get my 582 in my fox running again. I have had terrible luck with cold siezures and other major items with the 582. Traded 2 old 582's for a rebuilt but when i got it all installed and ready to do my starup and breakin i noticed oil spewing out so rather than tare it apart myself i sent it back to the builder just yesterday.
I saw your post and would definitely like to hear more about your Honda Viking option.
Motor mount / ball park pricing and pictures.. Horse power / speeds you plan to attain...
THIS IS SUPER EXCITING!!
Good luck
Jared

Brothers, I’m glad to see some renewed interest here. I will keep you posted on my Speedster which will be flying in a few months with the Viking engine. I am convinced the Viking is far superior to anything now flying in a Kitfox. McBean says his Rotax powered plane will outrun me, but we will see. At any rate, the Viking is 8 grand less money, and the parts are available at the Honda dealership, not from Oberammigroffstadburg, or some such place in Austria. Plus, the Viking is fuel injected and much more beautiful. I am thinking of a panel with a Skyview with ADSB transponder and 2 axis autopilot. This provides traffic warnings on the Skyview screen, and I have found it valuable in my Lancair.
I would be a buyer for an abandoned Model 7 project if anyone knows of one. Ed Gray Dallas
