Hello to the Zenith group,
Do to an increase in demand for products that we have made over the years and new products come online we have decided to open a new company devoted to experimental aircraft products. Azalea Aviation LLC products are now available to the Zenith public. Check out azaleaaviation.com
Over the years I have flown a large variety of aircraft and many have been Zenith products. Although I dont own one at this time I have logged about 75 hours in about about 20 different Zenith planes, most of which were first flights as a test pilot for the builders. I have also ferried some of these aircraft for their owners. It is a good solid airplane that works well within its design. Sebastian has been a good man to deal with and fair to all. We are currently working with several Zenith builders with their projects or supplying service and information to some who are flying.
We sometimes have used and new products from other vendors for sale that are not related to our products available. Call to inquire or check out Barnstormers from time to time. For example, we currently have some WW parts available, Jabiru Sensinich propeller, mounts and more.
One of our projects at this time is providing more parts to the 701 builders. We have have many calls on this subject so we have decided to as a line of parts for this aircraft. We have made mounts and exhuaust systems in the past but some people want to add a cowling to the mix. We will design and make molds and provide cowlings for the 701 if we can get 3+ builders committed to this project. We have a 701 that has 250 hours + that has been flying and we will use what we have learned on that project to product the parts you are asking for. If you are intersted in this project please contact us.
If we can be of any help to you please feel free to email or call.

Zenith Builders:
I write this to alert Zenith builders that "Azalea Aviation LLC" is the latest business LLC started by Bill Clapp of Valdosta, GA. He is the same person behind the now bankrupt "Aeromax LLC" Before considering spending money with Mr. Clapp, read this link to Zenith's official page: http://www.zenith.aero/profiles/blogs/aeromax-engines.
You may also wish to search his name in the archives of Mark Langford's Corvair discussion group "Corvaircraft" https://www.google.com/#q=corvaircraft+archives.
701 builder Joseph Aloof was a one-time supporter of Mr. Clapp, but has a different opinion today. If you are a 701 builder, I suggest contacting Mr. Aloof: http://www.zenith.aero/profile/joseph.
I suggest contacting Dick Jones: http://www.zenith.aero/profile/RichardJones, and learning about how his Aeromax engine failed on his 601 and resulted in heavy damage to his plane.
For further background contact 601 builder Larry Winger: http://www.zenith.aero/profile/LarryWinger and Rich Whittington: http://www.zenith.aero/profile/RichWhittington.
No Corvair powered Zenith 701/750 should have a rear starter like Mr. Clapp sells. Fitting one compromises the strength of the engine mount. To see a photo of a crashed 750 with a broken mount of that design, look at the photo near the bottom of this link: Zenith 750 / Corvair reference page, October 2013
Before sending money, I suggest looking at the on-line clerk's records of Lowndes County GA and searching Clapp's Cars, 3913 Rowell Rd, Valdosta, GA 31606-0631.
In this story: http://www.flycorvair.com/cc9c.html you can see a picture of Cary Howard of Valdosta, GA. You can search his name in the 2009 FAA accident data base and find that he burned to death in an in-flight fire on his first flight in his plane. He was "Aeromax" customer #1 and Mr. Clapp had done most of the engine installation. Mr. Howard's image was later used in Aeromax advertising with the claim he was a satisfied customer.
Many people have met the famous Christian aviation missionary Steve Saint (son of Nate Saint). Mr. Clapp collected several thousand dollars from Mr. Saint for an engine he did not deliver. This can be verified by contacting Mr. Saint at: http://www.itecusa.org/
If Mr. Clapp was actually on good terms with Sebastien Heintz, he would know the correct spelling of his name. If Mr. Clapp was familiar with Sensenich props, he would know the correct spelling also. Note that he is looking for the money of others to pay for tooling costs. This was the same tactic "Aeromax" used to gather money for the LSA design they never built.
I met Mr. Clapp more than 10 years ago, he worked in my shop for a year, I know him far better than most people who will respond here. He is nice on the surface, and has some skills, but no ethics. Do not take my word for this, do your own research. He has defenders, mostly people who identify with his particular religious perspective. However, I am yet to see any of Mr. Clapp's defenders offer restitution to his previous customers.
