The Cold War Air Museum near Dallas is researching getting a CJ-6A to draw more flying volunteers.  Personally, I'm looking for some formation buddies.

We're thinking of getting a stock CJ, initial donation of $5k then $200/month to cover hangar/insurance/maintenance and basically no per-hour ("fly it for the gas").

In the unlikely event more than 4 people wanted to do this, we'd get a 2nd one.

Any opinions?  If somebody died and gave you a CJ, I don't think you could operate it for less than that.

Great idea Jon, I'm too far away but I support your idea. Anybody close to Lancaster should jump on it. Duck
