Eddie was a great man and a true ambassador for aviation. He would bring his Yak-3 to All Red Star just because he wanted to support the event, even though we couldn't pay him. I'll always remember the kindness and generosity he showed to me individually, and to us as a community. Sad stuff....

A few minutes ago, 3 Thunderbirds passed over Angel Island, a low level/high speed vic, crossed over the headlands and turned south at the Golden Gate towards Half Moon Bay. A few minutes later 1&2 returned with -3 in extended trail. I expect it was a tribute for Eddie at KHAF. Quite touching.
