Pat and Rick Girard, we live in a time of great tension between political
poles. The social scientists have said that never since before the civil war
has the tension been so great.
Things that seem funny to you may truly bug someone else. It isn't that
people can't take being 'bugged' about something, the deal is they want
equal time to set the record straight- or more even, or equal time or
whatever. Then we are off and running...
Political statements also create division between us. We just don't need
that.

I could give you many examples of schisms created because one guy thought
things were funny but ticked off others who had strong feelings about the
topic. But I won't because it would be 'political'.
