landing gear update

Now that the gear is off I stripped the paint off and as expected there is no sign of anything even remotely wrong. This is one strong piece of aluminum. 

Now back to sanding the fiberglass attach points. Not a lot of fun since the temperature has been in the 90's.

Galin,

I would recommend Powder Coating for a more durable finish. ( I know you probably already thought of it but you know what they say about assuming.)

I wonder if powder coating will crack with the flexing of the gear?

I will paint it the same way it was. It survived 14yrs and 1,100hrs so that is testament it was done correctly. Now back to sanding and grinding away.
