There was a thread a couple of weeks back about  sealing small holes in fiberglass tanks. 

  

 Of course Kreem is still available, I'm told it was  used at least for a while by the factory. I found this product:

 Which appears interesting. I think poly tanks are  the answer. If only we could find some enterprising individual to step up and  get some blown for us.
