Gday All,
At present I'm helping a friend near Denver CO to build a Savannah kit, after his previous Savannah got wrecked practicing off-field landings in some rough country. I've salvaged the horiz stab, elevator and fuel tanks, and seeking someone who may want them.
Hans in Australia replaced that inverted contraption on his Zenith 701 with a symmetrical Savannah horiz stab, and was amazed at the improvement in hold-off control at very low speed, and as a bonus he got at least 3 knots up in cruise speed.
See the story here

The mountings are identical, so only a bit of adjustment to the sheet metal fin fairing. This stab is undamaged, the elevator has a slightly bent spar, so needs to be opened and straightened and reinforced, no problem.
The fuel tanks are 34 litres each, rotational moulded polyethylene or such. We've found them to be very good fuel tanks. They fit easily in a 701 wing. Hans replaced his Zenith aluminum tanks with Savannah tanks when the welded tanks cracked after several hundred hours.
Both items are available for no charge, you just pay the shipping.
I'll do the packing.
Just can't bear to see them go to the crusher......
JG
ps - We just finished building a complete wing in two days, such is the quality of the Savannah kits. All holes are punched full size, and ALL line up, it's amazing! So it's just a matter of finding the right parts in the box and clecoing and riveting....
