A couple of years ago, while at Felts Field, another RV8 builder suggested I drill a hole in my U807 wheel pant mounting flange to access the gear leg recess. I could then insert a bolt into the hole and use a bottle jack to lift my wheel to change the tire. 



A slick idea I mentally filed away until, of course, I forgot most everything he told me.  



If you've tried this idea, I would appreciate the details.
