I know that their are US equivalents for the gear indicator bulbs. Can someone remind me of the part # and where I can get them.
Thanks

While we are at it, are there any LED equivalents so that they don't keep burning out all the time?

Hi Ernie,
I believe you are looking for the GE 1864 bulb (28V bayonet type)
The spruce P/N 11-04171 ($1.66 ea.).

Ernie;
The standard indicator bulb in the CJ is the GE 313, a slightly better one is the GE 1846 (longer life – maybe). Better yet is the SuperBriteleds.com B9s series LED bulb.

Ernie,
Contact these folks below. I used to go through at least two sets of 24V bulbs each year, then about 5 years ago I switched to all LED and haven't had one go out yet. Less heat, less energy and much cheaper in the long run.

JB,
What part number do you use from Super Bright LEDs?
It looks like they have 12V 7mm LEDs, but not 24V ones. Do the 12V ones work (I can imagine they would)?

Add me to the LED user crowd. Haven’t had a bulb go out in years.  They are great.

Guys,
Here's the summary of my order... I don't remember exactly which bulb goes where, but you can easily look it up on their website. I had easy and free access to the 24V bulbs, but for some reason (I think heat) they would burn out frequently and I got tired of changing them. I haven't had even one LED bulb go out. On my CJ I installed them throughout... gear legs, position lights, cockpit, etc. I also installed some on my Piper Arrow. Like I said, they cost more initially, but less maint overall, less heat... Great product.
You can look at Spruce too. I just installed the flashing position lights from Spruce on my CJ... they were $36, but much cheaper than a strobe system.
