That's the same sender I'm using.
The notch on the side is the key to making the ring go through the hole.
Even then, it looks like the hole you have is small... I made them 60 mm in diameter.
The ring's diameter is 63.8 mm

later (at least not easily or close thereto) unless I remove the tank.
