My CJ swings a Vpered AV-14 prop powered by a M-14B. Both engine and prop were installed new "0" time and now have about 140 hours on them. I have been unable to find any information concerning the overhaul specifications and a supplier for the necessary seals and O-rings, in this country at least. I was hoping that someone, possibly in Europe, may have a contact or some knowledge as to how I could obtain the necessary overhaul specs and replacement seals.
Since they outwardly seem very similar, could the Chinese JL-2A prop be a license built version of the AV-14 and therefore have the same overhaul specs and use the same seals?

We have been involved with these engines and aircraft for some 30 years, and although we have sold a fair number of M 14 B engines over the years (in fact we have two new ones at the moment) we have always converted them to the "P" gearbox. So, while I have heard about the AV – 14 prop, I have never seen one, and I suspect there are very few around. Also Vpered are out of business, and I suspect there are very few people, if any, who have either the manuals or any parts for the props.
But the Russians seldom reinvented anything, and I would suspect that the internals are very similar to the V-530 prop, but you would only establish this by disassembling it.
