Troops,
Had a very good weekend at AYS "Gator Chase" 17 aircraft showed up and except for fog Thursday morning the weather was just perfect.
Some JW was consumed along with some beer, and the Waycross airport guys did a "low country boil" that was out of this world. We did a lot of flying. 4 FPRs (16 pilots) 3 flight checks (Leads) and 4 FNGs (well on their way now). All good company and safe. Well we did lose a pilot to the point we called the sheriff and the local cops to look for him. Turned out the hotel had him in the wrong room and he had turn off the ringer of his cell phone. As HMFIC for a 2 hours period, I was really worried. Anyway we gave him the bone award all though some others may have deserved it.
Off at Odark30 to fly the B-24 for a couple of weeks. Missed doing a lot of flying over the summer because of the FAA bureaucrats and a doctor who was to busy to write a letter. BTW all letters to the FAA go into "security" for one week before being opened. Delay delay delay.
