Barry
I went looking for a set of wire gauges at the hangars on the field and no one had any. BTW the feeler gauge I cut up was over 50 years old. I bought it new in the early 60's when I put a cam and solid lifters in my '57 Chevy. But I digress : )
I really like the idea that J. has - cut a piece of .010 brass shim stock long enough to cover both poles and let the magnets hold it in place while you tighten the screws.
I have learned a lot of practical ideas from this list.
Thanks,
Keep it up guys.

Nothing wrong with a 53 Ford (fix-or-repair-daily)! Mine was Crestline coupe powered by a six with overdrive.
Sooo sloooooo!
It was the 50th year anniversary for Ford.
