In the same vein, a township in our county recently passed an ordinance
banning any airstrips or personal airport activity from private
property.
This is an area that is at least half rural. Similarly, it seems to
have been
prompted by a neighbor with an axe to grind against someone occasionally
landing his standard category helicopter in his back yard.
Sounds like jealousy to me.
There are four grass strips in my immediate neighborhood. In thirty
years
we have never heard a peep of complaint. Houses keep springing up
though
and I guess we shouldn't be surprised if a legal action happens.
I do my best to avoid antagonism, passing over houses, etc.
so far, so good.
