Does anyone know the approximate angle of attack for a Series 7 at level cruise, 912s.
This is for the purpose of mounting a remote compass.

Thanks

It is a function of weight distribution among other things, but basically it is a variable.  You should be able to assume that it is level with the bottom of the door cut out.  I don't know much about remote compasses but it must be able to handle some variation in attitude.  It should be accurate when the tail wheel is on the ground.

Your AOA is going to vary with speed and load. Not trying to be smart, just a thought.

Here is an APROX that should be close....?

from the center of the leading edge to trailing edge will be your zero, then at about 3 or 4 degrees, you should be darn close....

If you are installing the Dynon unit I believe that you are to use the a/c datum which in this case is the door bottom tube.
