Hi folks,

I have been on this list since 1998. During this time I have completed a CH 601 HDS, which I'm now flying since 5 years. The list has proven to me invaluable - without it,I would have had a much harder time to build the airplane.

My plans are to build another airplane - either a Cozy Mark IV (for which I have the plans already) or an RV 8A.

Although having already completed the CH 601 HDS I have stayed on this list to help some novice builder and also get some new ideas about flying technique and modification ideas. However, the quality of the posting on this list have deterioted especially over the last few weeks. I had always thought, that the builders are an especially friendly and helpful bunch. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Mainly for this reason, but also since I want to move on to other airplanes I will leave this list.

I wish all of you the very best.

Thilo Kind

Thilo,
It's a shame that there are people on the list who are so disagreeable that they run others with valuable information off.  I would ask you to reconsider your decision to leave the list.  Just remember all the help you got and now with your experience you can pass along to others who need it.  Most of the time the people who make trouble have nothing to offer anyway and should be removed from the list.  There are nice and polite ways to disagree which should be practiced by all.

For what it's worth, I agree. We've been through a rather ugly week here...... stop and consider a while before mirroring these actions by "taking your ball and walking home from the playground". You were here for definite reasons..... have those reasons changed or ceased to exist? If so, I wish you good times ahead. If the reasons still exist, ignore the noise and hang in here with us. I've still got to finish a wing, the fuselage, and the dreaded FWF. Might beI'll need some help.

All,
I have been attempting to stay out of this one. However, long and large attachments are not the way to make friends and influence people. Yep, I get mad once in a while - like when we got the add for a Condo. But, I quickly get over it and if the person sends a "Whoops", I get over it even easier.

Still, no excuse for sending large files that cause such a problem with people who have dial up. There are many places in the US and the world, where dial up is a blessing because it allows access to the internet. If I, or anyone else is fortunate enough to have high speed of some kind, we owe it to others to be respectfull. If we cannot do that, then we should simply get off the list.

I have only been on a year or so, but see no reason to continue if the inconsiderate actions of a few cause the list to be less than enjoyable.

Please give your thoughts and actions s bit of thought.

Those of you who of tired of the huge emails may not know about the BBS Forum Interface to the Matronics Email Lists. Here's the link: http://forums.matronics.com. Scroll down the list and click on Zenith.

Dial-up users should especially try it. Huge pictures, no problem. You can still read the messages and not worry about downloading those pesky high resolution pictures. Please, give it a shot and maybe we can all start getting along again...
