I have a 1946 Ercoupe with a 85 hp Continental Engine with a 200 RPM drop on the right mag. Mechanics have 100% eliminated both mags, all plugs, p-leads and switching system. Also, the engine ran perfectly for the last 25 hours after a new wiring harness was installed. I would appreciate any advice on where to look next to solve this problem.
Thanks,
Dennis Hatfield Question

Sounds like the only thing left that is electrical is the plug wires. Try
unhooking them 1 at a time. To find the weak/bad cyclinder warm up the
engine for a minute or 2 on the bad mag. The bad cylinder should be cooler.
Spray wd40 on the exhaust stacks to find the cooler one. Once you find the
bad xyxlinder swith the plugs then wires with a good cyclinder and see if
the probem moves. If not it may be a bad lifter or valve.
