 You can get your Commerical License in the Yak.  Rodger Modglin received his in his Yak 52.  The examiner who gave him his checkride is a friend of mine and I can get you his name and number if you would like to ask him any specific questions.  (I don't think he had been in any other Yaks besides that one)  When the examiner sent the paperwork into the FAA, they responded back saying they could not issue a commercial ticket to Rodger because they had no proof that the Yak was a complex aircraft...so you just might want to include a picture of your airplane with the paperwork if you decide to do it.
