Hello,
I am reinstalling the flywheel on my R912 and the instructions call for
using Loctite 221. I am having a problem locating this locally and few
places on the www carry it. Is there an approved substitute or "local"
store/chain that might carry it?

I would advise you to call the loctite tec support guy. The 221 is
not available in North America. but they have a close substitute. As
I recall I the local distributor had to make a special order to get
the correct product. The phone number is on any loctite container.

Loctite 221 is the same as Loctite 222 in the USA. We got ours from0 the local Fastenal distributor. You can also get it from Lockwood0 Aviation for 1.99 for .02 oz, 19.17 for .34 oz, or 44.95 for 50 ml.
