Jabiru Users,
Has anyone tried using the Dynon EMS E10 with a Jabiru 3300?
I've not been able to get the tach to work properly with this engine. It reads about 300 RPM low and gets worse at higher speeds. I set the multiplier as high as the software will allow me but it still reads too low, any thoughts?
Thanks Jim 105JT 601XL

Dynon may be able to supply you with a software update to correct your problem. I'm still half-considering going with the Jab and Dynon, so I would be curious to hear the resolution to your problem.

From what I've read on the Yahoo jabiru engine list, my first guess would be that the pickup (sensor) is set too far from the flywheel. Have you checked to see that the tach pickup is adjusted close enough to the flywheel to not "miss" any revs as the speed increases?

Or it may need a resistor across the input so that it doesn't miss those spikes fro the sensor
