Does anyone have any idea what is the diameter of the Allegro aileron hinge pins? Ours is the oldest Allegro in the USA and is beginning to show some wear and slop in the outboard aileron hinges on both sides. This should be fixed quickly as the looseness aggravates the wear.
On our old Cherokee, the pins had a Teflon tubing that the pins slid into. The Teflon tube was a sacrificial piece so when it started to wear, the tubing was replaced with no wear at all on either the hinge or the hinge pin. Good design concept.

Thom
I have a new set of hinges here that I have just measured - the pin is a 3mm
diameter.
Regards
Dave
