 I had my share of complaints while building my  RV6A, which began in about 1991, so I plead 'guilty' to crabbing  too.

  

 But it isn't just Van's or other aircraft kits that  have problems. I made a grandfather clock, and the wooden case (about 6-ft tall  with a lot of detail parts)  kit was accompanied with "instructions" - they  essentially pointed out which tree I should cut down to make the  case.

  

 So it isn't just aircraft  plans.
